Club Blu opened its doors a couple of months ago to good reviews so I decided to check it out on Saturday night. It is located just off Soi Buakhao on Soi LK Metro Pattaya.

Its certainly very stylish compared to your average Pattaya Bar but I’m just not so sure its enough. I think if it was located anywhere else it would be thriving but it’s obvious that in low season now it is suffering from its location.

There is little doubt that Soi LK Metro has all the potential to be a great entertainment area and it already has some great bars such as the RockHouse and Champagne AgoGo. However the problem is there is a lot of very average bars, and bars with little effort made, so a lot of potential customers don’t make the trip for the sake of two or three good bars.

Most visitors to Pattaya like to love around not stay in one bar, often for as little as an hour at a time. Therefore they prefer to be in a zone with a lot of choice.

Club Blu had all the makings of a really nice bar, great decor, pretty girls and reasonable drinks prices. Something just seems to be missing.

At the time I was there the bar was virtually empty and the girls simply looked bored. It will be a great test of the management to keep them there as good looking girls don’t hang around if the money isn’t there.
